The purpose of this module is to provide the candidates with theoretical and practical knowledge on how to setup and run a CNC/VMC machine. This course will develop in a candidate the skill to setup tools, job, take offsets, and run the CNC machine.
This module includes both classroom and practical training. It’s a foundation course for someone planning to move into the manufacturing industry as a CNC/VMC machine operator.
Confidently operate CNC/VMC machine
Setup the workpiece and tools correctly
Read, understand and edit other programs
Correctly judge the outcome of workpiece
Have general understanding of CNC machining principles
Read and interpret the engineering drawing correctly
Use basic measuring instruments and gauges correctly
1 – 1.5 months duration

Regular tests and assignments followed by review sessions
Certification on successful course completion
