COURSE OBJECTIVE

Mechanical Design

The purpose of this module is to develop design related competence in the candidates. The candidates will be given inputs on designing principles, and will use the software to generate industrial components. They will explore different domains of designing such as features, surfaces, sheet metal, welding, assembly, mass properties, motion analysis, and stress-strain analysis.

The candidate has the choice to learn any or all of the below design softwares:

ZWCad: 2D design software (similar to AutoCad)

SolidWorks: 3D modelling software and much more

SolidCam: Manufacturing Software

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Course Key Learning Objectives

Confidently generate 2D/3D models of industrial components

Apply multiple drawing and modification commands in SolidWorks.

Get comfortable generating industrial components (using reverse engineering).

Assemble different components together to see how the design would function.

Conduct motion analysis and gauge mass properties for various industrial applications.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Perfect Individuals for this course
